It's a laugh, innit?

I've been feeling a little flat lately. Lost the sparkle, the zip or something. I hadn't been able to put my finger on it, until yesterday. I realised I haven't really had a good laugh in a long time.

I love to laugh. I love to make other laugh (though I'm not always good at it). Sure in recent weeks I've chuckled, I've giggled, I've even guffawed, but I haven't had a good throw you head back, let the tears rolls down, shuddered till it hurts kind of laugh. You know the kind of laugh you have with your oldest friends or family? When you laugh so much you think you're going to stop breathing.

I'm missing that buzz that you feel when you've spent time with people you love and just laughed. Top of my to do list is to rectify that or at least plan something to rectify it.

  3. So...last night I was laying in bed with the hubs when Noodle (who was tucked in already) came hobbling downstairs with an oversized, armful of laundry and stopped in our room to say the following:
"This was laying in the hall upstairs and I thought I would bring it down just in case the dog wants to take a piss on it."

I don't think I ever laughed so hard in my life...
And if you just did too, then you're welcome! ;)

P.S. She didn't realize piss was not a nice word. Besides, Mommy says it!

  4. We finally managed to get our friends over on the weekend, drank a bit of booze and played board games. It was great to be silly and just laugh at ourselves.

Hope someone makes you giggle today.

  5. How's this for a giggle at least? My status update from Facebook yesterday...

Beth Macdonald scored a measly 2/10 for her parenting today. We were in line at the shops when I happened to run my hands through Daisy's hair to pass time. Whereby my hand got stuck on a half eaten LOLLYPOP from Sunday (I think?). Others in line watched on as I had to detangle said object from hair then when I finally got it out she grabbed it from me "said yummy!" and ate it. Yep. That's champagne mothering skills right there.

Hope it gave a smile at least :)

  6. Thank you ladies, you've all made me smile!

    Eleanor - I love it!

Beth - I'm glad that someone else is on my mothering planet! That sounds a little too familiar.
