Books, husbands and choices

I haven't played along with the gorgeous Maxabella's Grateful Saturday for a while, so here goes....

This sunny (so far) Saturday, I'm grateful for....

* Having Skip home after a few days away for work. The kids missed him terribly after having him home 24/7 during the holidays. We're all glad he's home today.

* A weekend with no plans. No rushing here or there. Just two days to relax and spend time together as a family.

* Christmas books. I love having a pile of books on my bedside table to work my way through. I'm currently reading Keith Richards' Life.

* Despite whinging earlier in the week about making decisions, I realise how lucky I am to have choices. So I'm grateful for having good, viable choices, especially in regards to looking after my family.

What are you grateful for this Saturday? Play along with Maxabella's I'm Grateful For...

  1. I am the same, not good at making a choice, but want to have lots of options.

  2. I love not having to go anywhere or do anything unless you choose to. No solid plans, or plans where people come over so i don't have to round my troop up, they're here with everything they need.
I love having a pile of books to read too. Right now i'm just aimlessly reading because i have nothing new to read :(

  5. I know what you mean about everyone missing each other when life resumes after the holidays. We are all beside ourselves to be together this weekend in a way that is truly OTT.

I'm so happy to see you here today. You always nail the good gratefuls. CHOICES, what a fabulous thing to be grateful for. There's a post in that... x

  6. I'm hearing you, in terms of missing them after holidays are finished. My 2 were just about beside themselves not having dad with them after 27 days straight!
